AS E-Betoonelement starts today the erection of the 3rd stage of the production building of Palmse Mehaanikakoda. The first extension of the office and the mechanics workshop were completed in 2010.

Project Manager: Priit Kärner

Priit Kärner, the Assembly and Project Manager of AS E-Betoonelement: “It was the Customer’s desire to get all works, from foundations up to the closed framework, from the same company. Normally, we do not prepare foundations and floors ourselves, so these works are carried out by the subcontractors.
The facade elements are the most challenging part of the project, as they are very sensitive after the performance of patina stain finish. They require special treatment at the factory, by transportation and by assembly. The assembly work is started today and the topping out will be held in the week 25/12.
Cooperation with the customer has been constructive at which time we got positive feedback and the weaknesses have been pointed out. In this construction stage, we have learned from our mistakes and I hope that the customer will have reason for positive emotions only."

The facade elements of the building have obtained its orange outlook by patina stain finish and the internal surfaces are treated by steel floating.

AS E-Betoonelement delivers to the site TT-slabs, columns, beams and sandwich wall elements. The contract will be completed in June and the building is fully completed in the second half of the year 2012.

Palmse Mehaanikakoda is a mechanical engineering company that produces forest cranes and log trailers.

An informative video will be completed about Palmse Mehaanikakoda and we let it know on our homepage.

Priit Kärner, the Project and Assembly Manager of AS E-Betoonelement: “For AS E-Betoonelement, it is undoubtedly the project above the average size, the duration of which from the design of elements up to the assembly of the last precast concrete element will reach 11 months. Extent of contracting is divided into two stages covering four buildings, two water tanks and delivery of fireproof internal walls. Within 30 weeks, about 2000 elements are delivered to the construction site by nearly 500 truck loads. Design and assembly at the site are carried out on our own merits. Design work is performed in a BIM environment (3D model) that improves the quality and quickness of design work.
Projekti üheks keerukamaks ülesandeks on, Tellija soovil, jätta tootmishoonetel ühel pool hoonet raudbetoonist välisseinad hilisemalt lahtikäidavad - fassaadi alumised kolm paneeli. Tekitatud avade kaudu on Tellijal hilisem võimalus seadmeid remontida ja välja vahetada. Tellijaks on rahvusvaheline suurfirma Wärtsilä Finland OY, kellega on koostöö konstruktiivne ja meeldiv."
