The Estonian Concrete Association is inviting to participate in the training session "Concrete works in the wintertime" on 14 December at Tallinn Construction School, Pärnu mnt. 162.
The popular training session at the beginning of winter provides practical advice on choosing concrete, planning concrete works and managing the curing process of the structure. The training day will end with a visit to the Liivalaia construction site. The training session is designed for concrete manufacturers, builders, designers, construction supervisors, clients of construction works.
PROGRAMME:
10.40 Registration and morning coffee
11:00 Planning and execution of concrete works. General principles, preventive work methods, wind impact, freeze shock, winter heating. Kalev Ramjalg
12.00 Concrete types suited for the wintertime and their delivery. Impact of temperature on concrete. Concrete selection. Transport and pumping. Curing process monitoring. Martin Trossek
13:00 Lunch
13:45 Curing process monitoring Post-pour maintenance in the winter. Connection between post-pour maintenance and curing according to the standard EVS-EN 13670. A closer look into the Sadgrove formula and calculation of concrete strength based on maturity. Kalev Ramjalg
15:00 Arter Quarter, a visit to the Liivalaia construction site. Mihkel Kukk
16:00 End of training session
The participants will receive 3.1 refresher training points from the Estonian Civil Engineers Union.Training materials and lunch at the school canteen provided. Free parking in the Tallinn Construction School yard.

Price of the training session €90 (plus VAT), for members of the Estonian Concrete Association €65 (plus VAT).
You are expected to travel to the Liivalaia construction site by your own cars. Please bring your own helmet and safety vest if possible.
