Maarjam\u00e4e summer manor of the Estonian History Museum is undergoing a renewal in order to open its doors on the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia as an entertaining history centre. The current palace of Maarjam\u00e4e summer manor was built in 1874 by the Adjutant-General Anatoli Orlov-Davydov. The most noteworthy part of the palace is the tower with a gantry built in the Gothic style. The latest major construction and renovation in the Maarjam\u00e4e Palace took place in the second half of the 1980s, as a result of which, the Revolution Museum was opened in the building in 1987.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the course of the renewal, the historical palace will be renovated, and the Estonian Film Museum, pleasant recreation areas and exciting outdoor exhibitions will be located in the park. A comprehensive interactive exhibition My Free Country dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia will open its doors in Maarjam\u00e4e Palace, where children can build their own state in the playful Republic of Children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
