The Concrete Association of Estonia and the Association of Construction Material Producers of Estonia are organising the competition for the sixteenth time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur competition of concrete buildings stands out with its large-scale geography and buildings intended for various purposes,\u201d Kalle Suitslepp, Chairman of Board of the Concrete Association of Estonia, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following buildings compete for the title of Concrete Building of the Year 2015:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>1. New main building of the Estonian National Museum \u2013 Museum road 2, Tartu;<\/li><li>2. A private residence in Tabasalu \u2013 Ranniku road, Tabasalu, Harku rural municipality, Harju County;<\/li><li>3. Ihaste bridge \u2013 second construction area of the eastern traffic circle in Tartu, Tartu;<\/li><li>4. J\u00f5hvi State Gymnasium \u2013 Hariduse 5b, J\u00f5hvi;<\/li><li>5. Arch elements of the Keh\u00e4rata train tunnel \u2013 beneath the Helsinki Airport, Vantaa, Finland;<\/li><li>6. Commercial and residential building at Kentmanni Street \u2013 Kentmanni 6, Tallinn;<\/li><li>7. Koda \u2013 residential building \/ studio \/ office \/ classroom;<\/li><li>8. Kroodi overpasses \u2013 the Loo-Maardu road section, J\u00f5el\u00e4htme rural municipality, Harju County;<\/li><li>9. Cultural Caldron \u2013 P\u00f5hja avenue 27a, Tallinn;<\/li><li>10. Apartment buildings at Marsi Street \u2013 Tondi, Tallinn;<\/li><li>11. Maxima Logistics Centre \u2013 Tallinn traffic circle, Rae rural municipality, Harju County;<\/li><li>12. Rakvere Smart House \u2013 Lai 20, Rakvere;<\/li><li>13. Viljandi crematorium \u2013 Piiri 1a, Viljandi;<\/li><li>14. V\u00f5ru State Gymnasium \u2013 Seminari 1, V\u00f5ru;<\/li><li>15. One-family house \u2013 P\u00f5ldmarja St, Tartu.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\"Especially pleased that school buildings, infrastructure facilities, innovative Tark Maja and Koda have been completed from concrete as a domestic material. The finest homes in Estonia are still being built from concrete - both apartment buildings and private architecture are represented at the competition. Two big cultural buildings have been completed - the Cultural Palace, where the new and old concrete and the Estonian National Museum in Tartu are skillfully linked, \"added Suitslepp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"980\" height=\"654\" src=\"https:\/\/betoonelement.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Keh\u00e4rata_tunnel-E-Betoonelement-4-980x654.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10439\" srcset=\"https:\/\/betoonelement.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Keh\u00e4rata_tunnel-E-Betoonelement-4-980x654.jpg 980w, https:\/\/betoonelement.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Keh\u00e4rata_tunnel-E-Betoonelement-4-490x327.jpg 490w, https:\/\/betoonelement.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Keh\u00e4rata_tunnel-E-Betoonelement-4-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/betoonelement.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Keh\u00e4rata_tunnel-E-Betoonelement-4-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/betoonelement.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Keh\u00e4rata_tunnel-E-Betoonelement-4.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 980px) 100vw, 980px\" \/><figcaption>Keh\u00e4rata tunnel Soomes<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Suitslepp, the structures of the railway tunnel of the largest airfield in Finland are displayed at the competition as a symbol of the export capacity of the Estonian concrete sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of the competition is to find and highlight the buildings, whose appearance and effective and economical performance demonstrate the advantages and potential of concrete as a domestic construction material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main prize belongs to the author of the work.
