E-Betoonelement has started the production of facade elements for a residential project Sk\u00e4rvet, located in V\u00e4xj\u00f6, southern Sweden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

E-Betoonelement's Harku factory Production Manager Jaanus Alliksaar said, \"It's a great challenge for us, a new market with different kinds of requirements that we had to get used to. The biggest challenge for our Harku factory was to make more than 100m3 of concrete per day in four different colours and this all from one mixing shunt. The collaboration between all units has produced this successful result. The team has put a lot of effort and time in manufacturing the Sk\u00e4rvet elements and the end result speaks for itself!\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

E-Betoonelement Export Manager Indrek Rattasepp said, \u201cThis is a very labour-intensive project, which requires the full commitment of all members of the project team.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An outstanding clinker pattern, of off-white and black clinker used for the facade elements was designed by the Swedish architect firm Kjellander + Sj\u00f6berg. Architect Mattias Nordstr\u00f6m explains, \u201cAt first the whole block of residential buildings was supposed to have the same red-brick facade but this proved to be too expensive. It was then decided that these apartments for elderly people should have a distinct, unique style and we chose to go for a completely different pattern, inspired by textiles, you can recognize the pattern from embroidery or knitting. In the final fa\u00e7ade elements there are four different patterns that alternate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
