The Estonian Concrete Association, in cooperation with the Estonian Association of Civil Engineers, organizes a training day \"Main changes in Eurocode 2. Vertical joints in monolithic concrete structures and between precast walls\". The event will take place on September 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Tallinn Construction School, P\u00e4rnu mnt. 162, Tallinn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lectures will be carried out by Riho Oras, Candidate of Technical Sciences, chartered civil engineer and Alar K\u00e4es, chartered civil engineer. The training day is targeted for construction designers, builders of concrete structures, manufacturers of precast elements, supervision engineers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

12.00 Terminology related to concrete structures - Riho Oras
12.15 Working joint between two concrete parts cast at different times - Alar K\u00e4es<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14.00 Joint between pre-assembled wall elements - Alar K\u00e4es
- Calculation based on the new Eurocode and comparison with the one currently valid
- Tests organized by the Danish Concrete Association and instructional materials based on them<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Introduction of construction joint products by Peikko Eesti, R-Group Baltic (R-Steel) and Semtu
- Presentation of some specific products and their test results
- Different vertical joint solutions, their load capacity and recommendations for use<\/p>\n\n\n\n

16.00 Discussion and summary<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants will receive 4.6 training points by the Estonian Association of Civil Engineers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
