13 buildings were submitted to the \"Concrete Building of the Year 2022\" competition organized by the Estonian Concrete Association and the Association of Construction Material Producers of Estonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Among the participants of our competition there are several buildings and facilities of a symbolic significance, such as Tallinn Music and Ballet School, the first monolithic concrete ecoduct on Estonian roads, the hauling quay of the LNG terminal,\" the Chairman of the Board of the Estonian Concrete Association Imre Leetma<\/strong>. \"It is a pleasure to see several high-quality residential buildings with outstanding architecture competing for the title,\" Leetma added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n According to Imre Leetma, the Concrete Building of the Year competition continues to have a long line of outstanding educational and cultural institution buildings: MUBA, Viimsi Artium, St. John's School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Imre Leetma: \"The river promenade in Narva has received a long-awaited addition, the most significant part of which is the viewing platform depicted on the 5 kroon banknote and the realization of this legendary view in graphic concrete.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n The board of the Estonian Concrete Association confirmed all 13 constructions as nominees of the \"Concrete Building of the Year 2017\" competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \"Concrete structures play an important role in Estonian infrastructure construction, as well as in our competition - the V\u00e4o traffic junction, the Puiatu ecoduct on the Tallinn-Tartu highway,\" the managing director of the Estonian Concrete Association Toomas Vainola said<\/strong>. \"The glorious line of concrete port facilities continues with the hauling quay of the LNG terminal. During the pouring of the quay structure, a new record of concrete pouring distance using a pipeline was made in Estonia.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n Candidates for the title of Concrete Building of the Year 2022<\/p>\n\n\n\n The winner will be announced on the Concrete Day, 16 March<\/strong> 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Read more: \n
