The aim of the contest is to raise the reputation of concrete as a domestic building material and to contribute to the development of concrete architecture, concrete technology and concrete construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDespite the difficult times, Estonia is building eagerly \u2013 completed and on completion are many new schools, healthcare and cultural buildings, infrastructure objects, agricultural and industrial constructions, defence buildings and facilities, apartment, private and office buildings,\u201c said Imre Leetma, the Chairman of the Estonian Concrete Association. \u201cThe best of them are all expected to partake in the contest.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The contest is open to entries including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>constructions \u2013 buildings and structures handed over during the year 2022;<\/li><li>constructions not yet previously submitted to the competition;<\/li><li>designs and proceedings may be entered as well.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The winning project or procedure will be one where the work of companies registered in Estonia and concrete materials supplied from Estonia have played a significant role. When selecting the winner, the jury will consider the professionalism, level of difficulty, quality, and innovation involved in the design and construction of the project.<br>The main prize will be awarded to the author of the winning idea. Recognition will also be given to the client, designer, builder, formwork supplier, concrete product manufacturer, and concrete supplier of the winning project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See also: <a href=\"\/en\/Terms of the competition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Terms of the competition<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The jury comprises of representatives of the Estonian Association of Architects, the Estonian Concrete Association, the Estonian Association of Civil Engineers, the Estonian Association of Construction Entrepreneurs, the Estonian Association of Architectural and Consulting Engineering Companies, the Association of Construction Material Producers of Estonia, AS Kunda Nordic Tsement and construction journalism.
