{"id":10776,"date":"2012-12-14T20:27:44","date_gmt":"2012-12-14T18:27:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/betoonelement.ee\/?p=10776"},"modified":"2022-02-08T14:44:26","modified_gmt":"2022-02-08T12:44:26","slug":"16-ehitist-konkureerib-aasta-betoonehitis-2012-tiitlile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/betoonelement.ee\/en\/16-ehitist-konkureerib-aasta-betoonehitis-2012-tiitlile\/","title":{"rendered":"16 buildings are competing for the title of the Concrete Building of the Year 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ehitusuudised.ee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.ehitusuudised.ee<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>16 nominees were submitted to the contest of the Concrete Building of the Year 2012 organised by the Estonian Concrete Society (ECS) and the Association of Construction Material Producers of Estonia (ACMPE).<br>\u201cThis year there are some truly remarkable concrete buildings among the nominees that highlight different properties of concrete as an easily moldable and very durable construction material,\" said Vaido Leosk, the chairperson of ECS. \u201cWe are especially happy to see that the buildings submitted to the contest are from very different places all over Estonia,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The nominees of the Concrete Building of the Year 2012 are:<br>1. Concrete sculptures in front of Paide and S\u00e4revere school buildings of J\u00e4rva County Vocational Training Centre;<br>2. Administration building of Eesti Energia \u00d5lit\u00f6\u00f6stus AS;<br>3. Private residence in Haabersti;<br>4. Kukem\u00f5isa Guest House in J\u00e4rva County;<br>5. Lillek\u00fcla pedestrian underpass;<br>6. Production and storehouse of Loodus Invest AS;<br>7. Overpass at the eastern part of Muuga port;<br>8. Semi-detached house in Tartu;<br>9. Crypt and columbarium of St. Paul\u2019s church;<br>10. Rimi shopping centre in Laagri;<br>11. Production building of Saajos AS;<br>12. Reconstruction of the seaplane hangars at Tallinn Seaplane Harbour for the exhibition building of the Estonian Maritime Museum;<br>13. Reconstruction of Tallinn TV Tower;<br>14. Automotive training workshop at Tartu Vocational Education Centre;<br>15. New building of Narva College of the University of Tartu;<br>16. Construction of stormwater recipient system at \u00dclemiste junction .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis time the contest will be very close as there are many refined buildings and facilities competing,\" said Peeter Kokk, the CEO of ECS. \u201cThe jury will start work in January, \" he added.<br>The aim of the competition is to find and highlight the buildings, whose appearance and effective and economical performance demonstrate the advantages and potential of concrete as a domestic construction material.<br>The object wins, where a significant contribution has been made by the work of registered enterprisers in Estonia and concrete materials delivered from Estonia.
